Yuriy Klymenko, Director of the Vinnytsia Automation and Instrument Making Cluster, participated in a question and answer session with Mykhailo Vynnytskyi, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, on the topic ‘How is higher education changing (and why)?’
The Ministry of Education and Science has chosen a strategic direction — optimising the network of higher education institutions and improving the quality of education, which is particularly relevant in the context of the war.
The key direction of change is the adaptation of Ukrainian higher education to European standards, which will contribute to the international recognition of diplomas and the expansion of academic mobility for students and teachers. Mykhailo Vynnytskyi emphasised the need to review curricula, introduce modern teaching methods and align learning outcomes with the current needs of the labour market.
The instrument engineering and automation cluster closely monitors transformations in the education system, as high-quality training of young specialists is key to the sustainable development of an innovative economy.
The initiative is being implemented by the Centre for Public Expertise.
