Director of Vinnytsia Automation and Instrument Making Cluster Yuriy Klymenko received a certificate of successful completion of training for Eastern Partnership (EaP) innovation clusters, organized by EU4Digital.
In April, EU4Digital ICT Innovation brought together 16 representatives of clusters and new cluster management organizations from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine for a final webinar to participate in a training on the implementation of EU best practices in cluster management. During the training (workshops and webinars), which took place until April, the results of the analysis of the best European practices in this area were presented, and participants were given the opportunity to connect with representatives of the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA), the Romanian Cluster Association, the Transilvania IT Cluster and the AgroTransilvania Cluster, who shared their experience in cluster management and benchmarking.
EU4Digital's analysis has shown that successful European clusters, regardless of their size or sector, share a common growth strategy. It starts with external or public financial support and evolves to a balanced model. Successful clusters actively involve members in governance and strategic planning, use external expertise to stimulate innovation, and tailor their services to meet the needs of members, gradually increasing their value. Over time, the range of services can expand to include branding and sustainability activities. Clusters can also influence regional strategies and facilitate digital transformation among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), potentially becoming digital innovation hubs (DIHs).
The new skills and knowledge will make it possible to increase the effectiveness of cluster management in promoting innovation, creating effective operating models and value propositions.
