⛰️ On April 28, the city of Truskavets held a conference titled “Building a European-Ukrainian Dual-Use Defense Technology Ecosystem”, which was a platform for strategic dialogue between Ukrainian and European partners. The event took place as part of the Carpathian Sea Democratic Week 2026 and brought together representatives of clusters, technology companies, investors, researchers, and government institutions.
The program of the day included three separate sessions covering topics such as joint research and development (R&D), the creation of integrated value chains, and the transition to mass production of affordable equipment.
"The main goal: to reach a compromise with European partners concerning the key driver of the war – mass, low-cost, fast production"
The AIM cluster had the opportunity to share its experience during Strategic Session No. 3. Yuriy Klymenko had the opportunity to present online, addressing the following questions:
What is the key factor for success in modern defense technologies?
What technologies form the foundation of today's defense ecosystem?
How have collaborative development models progressed?
What kind of education should this field provide?
💬 The message can be summarized up in a sentence: in modern warfare, the determining factor for success is the possession of the necessary competencies, which, when combined, lead to dual-use innovations.
