The first strategic session under the #Cluster4Regions initiative was held in Vinnytsia region

The first strategic session was held in Vinnytsia as part of the #Cluster4Regions initiative, a project of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine implemented by the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance with the support of the #UCORD project.

Our goal is not point solutions, but a holistic cluster ecosystem of the region that meets the region's characteristics, potential and challenges. Clustering is one of the key tools for strengthening the regional economy, and the development of the cluster movement is a way to increase the competitiveness of Vinnytsia region at the national and international levels.

The session participants - representatives of business, academia, government, business associations, clusters and cluster initiatives - worked in teams to identify promising areas for the development of existing and future clusters.

During the meeting, the results of the economic and cluster analysis of Vinnytsia region were presented, which became the subject of discussion and debate on the areas of cluster support using the existing and potential opportunities of the region.

Key outcomes of the session:

  • The positions of the cluster development stakeholders were brought closer together,

  • new members of the project working group were identified,

  • key tools for supporting clusters as the basis of the regional programme were developed.

Together with the project's working group, we continue to work on the development of the Vinnytsia Oblast Cluster Development Programme, involving specialists, entrepreneurs, government officials and academics. After all, a strong region is a region where there is an understanding of common goals and developed interaction.
